Not out in the UK for nearly a month :(

Is the wireless guitar any good?

Poor you!! It will definately be worth the wait...especially after the dissapointment of the Encore 80s. The songs are great...the technical difficulties seem to be hammered out. The wireless guitar is something I havent tried yet. I worry about the cost of the batteries...and then when they start to die how that would affect my gameplay...its battery operated right?

i am also writing more about at www.iamaguitarhero.blogspot.com

I'll pop that into my RSS feeds too then :)

As to the wireless guitar - you can pick up a pack of 4 rechargable batteries and a charger here for about £15 ($30) - which'll last forever. When two run out, just swap them with the two in the charger.

You shouldn't notice any degredation in gameplay, unless batteries run out mid-song, in which case the game pauses itself, but you'll probably lose your combo.

What technical difficulties? I was pretty happy with everything in GH2.

GH2 is my fav...still might be after I get some more time in on GH3...but the hammer on's and pull off's never really moved that smoothly...each game they get better and better. or maybe i am just getting better at them.

I've always been happy with the Hammer Ons and Pull Offs on Guitar Hero II - but I think I'm just so, so grateful that they improved so much from Guitar Hero I that I'm not fussy.

If they're even better in GH3 then sweet :D

I love GH3!! It is great. Battle mode is a great addition to the greatest game ever. When I saw the Strokes pop up on one of the encores, I almost peed in my pants. Its a shame Harmonics didn't make it, but I thought these new guys did a good job. The scores are ridiculously too small though. And playing it on a PS2 sucks because each song has to load -- and it take forever! But overall, I love it!
